Maison Caramany is located on the village square and is built on three levels

.  On the ground floor you will find the lounge, kitchen, a WC with wash basin and the main bedroom.

The lounge has two sofas, one of which opens into a large and very comfortable bed.  In the corner is a wood dining table which can be extended to comfortably accommodate 6 people. A smart television (Netflix, etc) is available plus a DVD player with a library of over 50 films.  One of the walls shows off its impressive stonework and it also has an opening into the kitchen, adding to the intimate atmosphere.

The large kitchen has plenty of room for those who enjoy cooking. It comes equipped with all the needs of a modern day kitchen including crockery and cutlery, a toaster, a cafetiere, a fondu and raclette set, an electric kettle, pots, pans and baking dishes.

The Main bedroom is both stylish and comfortable.  The focal point of the room, a section of stonework with mood lighting, is above the double bed.  Along with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and mirror comes an intimate relaxation corner with a 2 seater sofa, coffee table, library and TV with DVD player and Playstation 2.

In the hallway there is a Godin wood burner which keeps the whole house warm, should you decide to rent in the winter.

On the first floor you will find the second and third bedroom, bathroom and a small terrace.  The second bedroom is warm, cosy and inviting.  It has a double bed, original wood flooring, a wardrobe, an original, inbuilt storage cupboard and a very practical wash unit with hot and cold running water. There is also a small balcony overlooking the village square.

The third bedroom is a single room with the option of an extra pull-out bed. The original floor quarry tiles are still present and there is balcony overlooking the village square. There is a wardrobe and chest of drawers.

The bathroom is tiled in cool grey and white, is spacious and has plenty of natural light. The corner bath is deliciously comfortable. There is a separate shower cubicle. The bathroom opens out onto a small terrace where you can take in the views of Caramany.  It's also the perfect place to dry your laundry!

Finally, the main terrace is on the second floor. In a prime position overlooking the village, you will be captivated by the view on offer from this sunny and private terrace.  It is the perfect place to catch some rays, read, dine, relax or while the hours away as your mind's eye wanders amongst the village houses, hills and vineyards.  A dining table and chairs with parasol and a barbecue are to hand.

All rooms have been insulated, making them cool in the summer and snug in the winter. All rooms are equipped with electric radiators.

Parking: I always park my car in front of the house on the street. There is a small car park near the Post Office in the village (2min walk) and another larger space downhill from the village near the war memorial (3min walk). There is a large garage/stable below the house which is available to you but, since access is a little awkward, I personally rarely use it.

Come to Maison Caramany and I am convinced you will have a holiday you can truly call your own!
